Deputy Manager
Little bit about yourself (including skills):
I have always worked hard throughout my life, and I have always wanted to do my job to my best ability and become the best I can be in the roles I have had over the years in Health and Social Care. I have always had a lot of respect and genuine care for elderly people, and it makes me feel rewarded to see them happy and this is what makes me strive to provide the best care I can for our residents.
What made you want to join the care sector:
My first experience in care I was a cleaner, and it was a natural thing for me. I just started helping on care, and eventually I felt being a Carer would be a better fitted role for me.
Experience in care:
I have been at Treetops since 2012, a total of 11 years throughout this time I have worked my way up from a Senior to a Deputy Manager. Prior to this I worked in another care setting for around 8 years, I started as a cleaner and worked my way up to an Acting Senior.
What you love about your care home:
I love that the home is homely and doesn’t appear to be clinical. I also enjoy the fact that the residents here feel like they are at home. The staff are great, we all get on and work as a team. We have a nice mixture of residents, and they are all lovely.
Most important qualities/values your care home has:
The most important quality that we have at Treetops is that we all work together as a team to do the best we can do by the residents that are living at Treetops.
The most important value we all share is our commitment to the quality of care for the residents living at Treetops, and we carry that out through our daily duties. We genuinely take pride and enjoyment out of providing the best care we can.
